Our second annual symposium is scheduled for the weekend of August 20-22, 2010, at the Dakota Ridge Hotel in the Twin Cities suburb of Eagan, Minnesota.

Join us, and you’ll meet dozens of fellow tarot enthusiasts, and you’ll become part of a growing nationwide community of tarot authors, artists, readers, teachers, and students.

We’ll have workshops throughout the day on Saturday, geared to tarot readers at every level. Whether you’re a beginning tarot reader or an old hand at the cards, you’re guaranteed to learn something new! We’ll also have optional social events on Friday and Saturday nights, and an extended workshop on Sunday morning.

Comment by Stella on August 6, 2010 at 4:22pm: I wish I could attend, that's for sure. I love being surrounded by Tarot. I'm starting to wonder how many Tarot symposiums there are in the US?? There seems to be a few? I'm mighty jealous. If anyone has any basic info on how they started, where they are held, are they for a weekend? Anything really. I'd love to have more happening here in Australia!!

The Minnesota event is ideal for me its held at the Dakota Ridge Hotel a short shuttle ride with hotel transport from the airport. Its easy to get to which is my main concern since I dont drive a car. This is the second year of the event. I live in Chicago .its a quick plane ride to Minneapolis. There have to be events, weekend conferences in Australia. New York City Area and San Francisco have annual events. Keep looking there has got to be a trip for you that combines tarot,new friends interesting lectures, workshops not to far from where you are!

I do get info from the Australian Tarot community and this year we did fortunately have an event here last month (one of the speakers was Mary Greer) and next week I'm going to Melbourne to see Juliet Sharman-Burke but some years there are no events. I recently started a meetup group here in Brisbane so as to start building a Tarot community... hopefully we can then attract more events some day, or start some. The US is much more buzzy than it is here, that's for sure! There is the odd workshop for beginners and the like, but very little.
