energy and legal issues
Hi All! Thanks for the invite Katrina. I will be a little sponge and absorb as much as I can from everyone (especially you, my mentor.)
As far as energy goes, all I know is that the more empathic you are, the more likely you are to get your energy sapped by negative forces, so insulation through psychic protection helps me. Funny thing though, (in the opposite working of positive energy,) I sometimes find when doing Reiki, that I actually feel the positive effects of what I give coming back to me.
On the legal disclaimer, I agree that it's probably counter-productive. You are right that it is definitely not for "entertainment". "New Age" type practices are not considered sciences of any sort and should (you would think) inherently not need a disclaimer. There are also sciences that do not offer an up front disclaimer: for example: psychology or meteorology (soft AND hard sciences.)

Thanks for wringing your sponge so we can soak up some of your wisdom. Yes, it makes sense to me.
We seem to have two hot topics happening at once. One is on legal issues and disclaimers, while the other is on the energy of the reader in or after a reading. In order to keep these huge topics a little more contained, I invite you to visit each "Discussion Forum" and add your wisdom to the mix. I'll look for you there.
