The Four of Swords shows the effigy of a knight on top of a tomb. He lies beneath a stained glass window. These images are supposed to portray a time of reflection, contemplation and healing – a respite. The Three of Cups in the Rider/Waite/Smith deck depicts three young women raising their cups in a toast of friendship and support. This card is associated with good times, celebration, and success. The symbolism is enhanced by the variety of colors in this card. The sea is yellow; his robe is red, etc. This card usually signifies accomplishment.
