Help on my Deviant Moon reading...

Greetings-I have been vacillating about whether I should enroll in a class or not.  I focused on the following questions and drew the correlating cards from the Deviant Moon deck:1. Should I do it?  (Chariot)2. Why? (Eight of Wands) 3. What will I learn? (The Star) I have my own interpretation. What do you think? I'll give more details on my interpretation and the circumstances, but i wanted to get a sense of your raw read on the cards. Thanks.See More

How do you study Tarot?

I've immersed myself in a lot of reading over the past weeks. It has helped me further my understanding the overall Tarot symbolism and the archetypes of the Major Arcana. I'm also engaged in a number of "exercises" recommended by some books. My question to you is, "How do you study the Tarot?" I've been pulling a card a day. It lets me focus on that one card, but i don't feel I am getting and spread reading experience. At the same time, I honor the connection and energy of the cards. I don't…See More

Hi-

My mom was very much into astrology and it and other mysticism /esoterica were around the house growing up. I've always had a "call" toward Tarot. I have been told that I have a keen intuitive sense and that I "read" people with good accuracy. I began studying Tarot in 2009 and have collected decks based on reviews of art + symbolism. I have reviewed spreads cast by others in certain forums and found my reads were decent. I was in college this past semester and Tarot took a back seat. This is finals week (yahoo!) and i want to get back to it, because I do believe that this is something I have talent and confidence to pursue.

Hi Koneta-

It's so nice to see such a warm greeting. I look forward to getting to know you and the forum group. I have my last final for the college semester today. I'm hoping to get back in touch with my intuitive energy and Tarot insights.

Peace to you,

Rob

Enjoy the May full moon, the flower moon in Scorpio, tonight. May moonbeams bring magic and merriment your way...

Silver

Slowly, silently, now the moon

Walks the night in her silver shoon;
This way, and that, she peers, and sees
Silver fruit upon silver trees;
One by one the casements catch
Her beams beneath the silvery thatch;
Couched in his kennel, like a log,
With paws of silver sleeps the dog;
From their shadowy coat the white breasts peep
Of doves in a silver-feathered sleep;
A harvest mouse goes scampering by,
With silver claws, and silver eye;
And moveless fish in the water gleam,
By silver reeds in a silver stream.

Hi Rob,

I took up a suggestion from a woman named Bunzie who's read for me. Now I do a 4 card reading daily; it's the 6 12 6 12 reading. Shuffle and cut as usual lay out 4 cards. First card- what's going on (for you) at 6am, second card- what's going on for you at noon, and so on. In the evening I review my day with the cards to see what parallels I come up with. When I'm done analyzing, I do a 6 12 6 12 reading for the next day. This gives you 4 cards and 4 parts of each day to consider and build meaning with. Roger
