I know what you mean :) It is hard for me to concentrate at home sometimes but I think that is were we need to make it our sanctuary. Whether through sifting or cleaning, that too can be a spiritual experience lol :D

First off, I'd like to say welcome to the TG. There are lots of great resources for learning here. I own many tarot books, but three that I would recommend that have been very helpful to me are:
Tarot for Your Self : A Workbook for Personal Transformation Second Edition by Mary K. Greer (I have the first edition but that doesn't matter. This is the updated version.)
The Tarot Companion; An Essential Reference Guide
by Tracy Porter
Tarot Made Easy
by Nancy Garen
Tarot Tells the Tale by James Ricklef
Tarot Journaling: Using the Celtic Cross to Unveil Your Hidden Story
by Corrine Kenner
Check them out on Amazon.com where you can read sample pages online.
As a new reader, you should offer to read for anyone that is willing to let you practice on them. Also, if you have the opportunity to attend a class, workshop, or conference somewhere near where you live, it's a great way to get support and make new tarot friends too.
Getting familiar with basic astrology and numerology principles is also helpful. Learning meditation techniques and learning to trust your intuition is priceless.
You can also offer to exchange readings with other readers right here on the TG. Let me know if you would like to do this, I would be willing to do it.

Thank you for writing. Your angels are with you - at least 5 of them all the time. They hear your thoughts but they aren't supposed to interfere. So you have to ask them for help. They come to you in your "imagination" as "new ideas", "new thoughts".. they can come to you in dreams, or they can bring people into your life to give you what you need... there are many ways.. even like hearing a song over and over, that is a sign to listen to the lyrics.. There is a wonderful book called Angelspeake by Barbara Marks and Trudy Griswold on how to write to your angels and get your own angel messages. You can do this yourself... So just have imaginary conversations in your mind with them and be aware of new ideas that you might sense, feel, hear.. My angels said to me in a loud "voice" ... get to know computers. I went what? This was way back when home computers were just coming out when they were really expensive. I didn't know what they were.. I said, "what?" I heard it again as if a voice came out of no where. It was really neat and i've been fascinated and working with computers ever since.... So be listening and be aware of subtle ideas.. it might not be a loud voice, but they are there and they love you no matter what. I hope this helps..

You can also go to the public library and borrow books for free. Depending on your learning style, you may want to try audio book CDs or DVD videos too.
