Tarot for the 21st Century!

March 2010 Blog Posts (26)

I Never Had a Tarot Blog Before.

So.... what would people like me to blog about? there's so many things I don't know where to start. Eventually I'm sure I will just start blithering away like an idiot, but for now, I guess I would like to just open the floor and see what kind of questions people have for me. If you leave me a comment on either the blog or just on my page, I will try to address it here! I tend to write late at night though so if it seems like I'm rambling that's why =)

Blessings,
Gina

Full Moon Mysteria

My favorite card has always been The Moon card, whatever the deck but The Deviant Moon Tarot deck tops them all with Patrick Valenza's rendition of the Moon, with gossamer strings coming down from a full moon and it's two characters dancing on the end of them like marionettes.…

"Unscheduled" Make Over for the Guild's Tarot Portal!

Oh dear, I changed my Hermit yet again

I am so fickle. I can't tell you how many hermits I have gone through. Maybe ten or more. Today I did some alterations on my current hermit.

So why the change, you might ask. Well, I didn't really like the face on the old Hermit and the background looked like some fancy city park rather than the kind of place a Hermit might be living, like a cave in the mountains. The face on this new hermit is a real person and so is the back of the head of the little boy. He is my great…

Are you finding it hard to remain relaxed during a Tarot reading? Do you try and communicate everything all at once so the client won’t think you’re a terrible Tarot reader? How to ruin someone's life with Tarot cards

And when will I meet him? the querent asked.

Shuffle, shuffle; pick a card. At the end of August.

Oops. I should have kept my mouth shut, I thought, as I could see that the questioner was already imagining the circumstances of the meeting: what he would be wearing, what she would be wearing, what they would say to each other, what the weather would be like,… Continue

Telling time with the Tarot.

The mother - aged 91 - had been in hospital for a month, and had been given only a few days to live. The family - very unhappy about the impending death - want to know (on February 4th) how much longer she would last. The question was: Within how many days will she pass away? The answer was the 6 of Cups - so 6 days.

Seven days later, she was still alive. Time to re-think the answer.

The 6 of Cups - using C C Zain's method - can relate to the Cancer decanate of Scorpio,… Continue

Tarot Connections: Tarot & Meditation

Last week we reviewed the very basics in Visualization. This week we will discuss Mediation. Visualization and meditation go hand in hand with each other. This basic concept of visualization you have been working on can now be incorporated into basic meditation. Once you understand and can use both of these concepts, you can move forward into Pathworking - the ability to explore your visualized realms and learn more about yourself. Reflections on Death

Originally posted March 6, 2009 on the Ning site for the 2009 Readers Studio

On February 25, 2009 my mother passed away, a complexly simple fact that has changed everything. Consequently the Readers Studio has taken on a new more profound meaning. My tuition to the studio and airfare were a gift from her- the last gift she gave me. Sometimes the Tarot is more readily understood when one is confronted with a literal experience of the card’s face. So be it. As I begin my journey, my… Continue
