KnightS, Justice, 10C - We have become a society where too many good people walk away from fighting for the greater good. "Oh, it's not worth the bother," or "I'm not sinking to THEIR level" is what I hear from people. Remember, being nice to a mugger will only get you mugged. This could be either a personal or a professional relationship. Realize that you probably were dealing with a narcissist - they are so in love with themselves that they drink their own cool-aid, and poison whatever they touch. KP, 3C, AceS - Yes sometimes really bad things have to happen to wake people up. The Universe throws feathers, then pebbles, then rocks, then BOULDERS! If you catch a clue at the "pebbles" stage, you can save yourself a lot of grief. Looks like the right people will begin to act alike adults today, and try to start digging the US out of this mess. KnightW, 7W, 8P - No matter how carefully and deliberately we choose to live, we screw up. It just happens.Sometimes, a simple "excuse me" or "I'm sorry" take care of it. however, some mistakes are glaring, and we are sure the press has been alerted! If faced with that kind of a situation, best thing to do is to acknowledge the mistake and then get back at it. Work harder to discover why the mistake was made; then by showing diligence and competence, it will be forgotten quickly.
