Boy afraid to be born giving Readings with Playing Cards
Last night I watched this movie, Delivering Milo. Milo was supposed to be the next one in line to be born but he was afraid to walk through the light and come to earth. When it was his turn he ran. This prevented the rest of the souls to be born so "they" had to find Milo and convince him to walk through the light into his waiting new family.
Milo could tell fortunes with the playing cards and he laid out a spread for his mother to be who he actually met as he was running. I…

6 Second Tarot: Romance!
And just in time for Valentine’s Day! Here’s the breakdown: Cups = love/emotions/intuition. The Knight of Cups is arriving, cup in hand, ergo, something along those lines is on the way. In the four of cups, a man ponders three of the cups, oblivious to the fourth being offered. It’s an alert to be aware of that offering (nice tie in with the Knight). And the third card is the Star, often representing hope, or the calm after the storm. In the context of these three cards, her open posture,…

Learning to read tarot for beginners
I have always wanted to learn to read tarot cards but I don’t know where to begin?
Divination with tarot requires both a connection to higher laws/self and an understanding of the meaning of the cards.
So there are two important things to consider when starting out learning tarot.
One is being centred, connected to higher self and two is having the right deck for you; this…

Maturing with Grace - The Nine of Pentacles by Dawn Alice
Enjoy the fruits of life! Somehow this statement sounds like it came straight out of a menopause book.
When I turned fifty, all sorts of minor health and emotional issues were triggered off. Suddenly, I was regarded as a mature woman because my hair needed dying every six weeks. My…

Tarot - A Universal Gift by Dawn Alice
Selecting and cleansing cards
Traditionally your first tarot cards should be a gift. If you receive, a deck as a present then consider yourself lucky … this may be an omen.
Selecting cards can be as personal as choosing your underwear. They should reflect your personality and fit…

Tarot Translation Group - Which card is your significator and why?
This week instead of reading, we have a question: Which card is your significator and why? Which I think is a most lovely question.
My card is the Queen of Swords. I chose the Queen of Swords because she has an ice queen quality to her that I hear about myself a lot. She is a strong woman that can use that sword to cut through the foolishness to the truth of the matter, which I like to think is how my intellect serves me.
However, I don't see this Queen as an…

Tarot Translation Group - Week Two
Here we go folks...week 2 and I am so excited to be a part of this.
Here is the question:
The Question:
My spouse and I seem to be on different energy cycles lately; my energy is up, when his is down and vice versa. It’s making both of us irritable. In what ways can we work through these ups and downs together?
And the cards that were pulled:…

Latifah to Reverend LaLa
For anyone that doesn't tune into the Rowdy Readers show on Fridays, you never know what you may be missing.
Today, in the chatroom, we discovered we have some ordained ministers here at the Tarot Guild and that was great because it isn't a fact that I reveal to a lot of people about myself. I…

Tarot Translation Group - Question 1
So, I am not much of a blogger but would like to be. I have joined the Tarot Translation Group on Facebook that will be asking a question once a week, and all of us readers will be responding. I think this is a great idea, and will at least get me to post to my blog once a week lol...
This week's question is: There's an opportunity to start a new venture. What are the energies surrounding it?
Using the Secret Tarot, I pulled The King of Swords reversed, the…

Hello, all,
I hope everyone is enjoying the summer, which has been especially beautiful here in Vermont. Of course, I think that just about all the weather is especially beautiful here in Vermont. It is always interesting, that's for sure!
What have I been doing during all this lovely weather? Why, tooling around on the intertubes! I have set up an Etsy shop for my Tarot readings, and joining quite a crew of readers, too. As well as any number of other…

Daily Musing 6/06/2012
I have seen a lot of discussion about the Five of Wands lately and it has got me to thinking...
Why can't this card be about teamwork...as I was walking, I came across five guys practicing what looked like football frisbee to me. I immediately thought of the Five of Wands. One of the gentleman was obviously in charge as they were working on plays. I mean, they had the cones set up and everything!
A leader has to deal with differing opinions and actions at…

Daily Walk Musings
I took my walk today after the Hollywood Insiders show with Tarot Dactyl and Dax, which I absolutely love...
I decided to just listen to music and let my mind wander. I am a child of the 80s and still listen to the music because it just feels good, and is a lot better than some of this stuff that passes as such lol...but I got to thinking about Tarot anyway, especially when Once in a Lifetime by the Talking Heads came on. It got me thinking how much this song is like the 7 of…

The "Tell-Me-Something-Good Spread"
Looking for a new spread? As some of you know, my husband and I recently relocated in order to help out a couple family members who are terminally ill. I came up with this spread ( Tarot Dactyl's Tell-Me-Something-Good Spread ) after spending a few days thinking about "silver linings." The song "Tell Me Something Good" came into my head and I was playing with my cards and this spread…
