Tarot for the 21st Century!
IAs my son is blowing raspberries at me, I asked the cards the type of day today was going to be. Wheel of Fortune reversed. To me this sounds like a stand still but really, it's coupled with four of wands reversed. That to me equates, staying home, and not doing much of anything. (I'm going through my Saturn return and it's crossing my natal Pluto and Ascendant, which equates to running around like a chicken with your head cut off...backwards.), That sounds like a perfect day to me so I'm turning the 4 of wands upright. Adding to that I just randomly threw out 5 cards, and the others were 10 of swords, Justice and 4 of pentacles...withdrawal, and being pissed at my boyfriend for getting drunk last night sounds good to me. But with Ms. Justice in there, perhaps he'll apologize. I don't know yet. We shall see.
I'm using the Robin Wood deck. I love the art, but it whispers to me, it doesn't really talk to me, like my last deck. It was the Universal Waite with the 6 different languages on it. I can't find it, sadly, as I don't know the artist. It was my own fault, I lost them in a rain storm after leaving the windows in the car down all night. Before that it was the Dragon Tarot by US Games. I ended up losing one of the cards, so I watched the deck go up in flames. I know there are other cards that support the one I lost, and burning a card to some may sound like sacrilege, but I felt it was fitting seeing as the Dragons are all about fire. I keep thinking about expanding my knowledge lately. I love tarot, but I also love astrology. I'm a Libra, so being scattered to the four winds is just a part of who I am in terms of hobbies. I have a lot of tarot and astrology "cookbooks" If your sun is in this sign, or you pull this card you're this. The end. It's much more than that. Like when you lay out the cards, to the client, the potential for a certain situation is there, but it's not necessarily gonna be the be all and end all. I've had that happen. It annoys me because I like being right.
