Tarot for the 21st Century!

From my Community Tarot Blog:

The best tarot readings are detailed and nuanced.  A great tarot reading will also offer some sort of homework or aftercare – suggestions, referrals or exercises for the client to do after the reading is over to help the client achieve his or her goals.

Often we get more information in a reading by interpreting the same cards on many levels.  We all know each card has many meanings.  What some readers don’t realize is that sometimes many of those meanings may be true at the same time, in the same reading.

We also get more information by adding clarifying cards, or by asking questions and pulling cards in a dialogue format.

Some readers get more information by using companion skills and tools – palmistry, mediumship, pendulum, psychometry or other card oracles, for instance.

Another way to get more information is by reading the cards that aren’t there.  What?  How can you read cards that aren’t there?  Today I offer you four easy ways to do exactly that.

Colin-

Thanks for share that detailed description!

Darrin-

I am glad you found these ideas helpful.  Just as in a classroom setting, homework gives us a chance for follow-through, and for making the lessons stick with us.

Thanks for reading, and for taking the time to comment!

I love Numerology and Tarot I feel that they compliment one another, I read from numerology first so that I have something to base a reading from, the way that I do it would be like this, I would lay all the cards out the look at how they would compliment one another they then start to tell me a story I would then look at how many majors and how many different suits that would tell me the element that would be left,  that would normally tell me what the read would lack could be air  fire earth or water whatever the situation. Then I would total all the cards together then I would look at whatever the numrological difference would be for the read so say we ended up with a 5 after we broke the difference down that would be the general theme to a reading, based on Challenges and that is how I work. also if there was a double digit I would also work out the card that would bring in within the reading so for example if we have 78 in count we would know that that would be the 10 of pentacles so we would know that there would be endings in sight as well as wealth beyond abundance as well as new beginnings the 10 the end or changes the 10 breaks down to the number 1 that would bring in a whole new feel The Magician dexterity slight of hand clever , the start of things new the list is endless, but then we have to know when to stop the process, some times you can lose yourself off with this way of reading if that happens I use an old method of which is brilliant to use the golden dawn counting card method a bit more complex but opens a read, the type of reading is called The Opening of The Key, that would be done a bit different Just a line of 10 cards or more, think of it like the old Gypsy method of reading as this would lead into numerology and the elemental differences of a reading. Just thought that I'd let you know my method of reading this always pulls in a very accurate reading not saying that it does every time but it works for me..

Thanks, Colin.  Yes, exactly.  Numerology is such a good complement to tarot, isn't it!

I use numerology in my reads Christine so when I see nothing there I start calculating numbers and this brings meaning and depth to my readings
