Tarot for the 21st Century!
In just over 2 weeks I will be sitting down in front of the tube with cold ice tea and pizza for the beginning of Survivor South Pacific season 23. What has this got to do with Tarot? Well I'm glad you asked! I will be using the Tarot to enjoy my favorite reality show. That's right! I've seen other posts where the Tarot was used for show's like True Blood and even American Idol. I love the idea of using the cards this way.
So. . . what's the plan, Stan?
I have a few ideas planned so far. I'm going to start by choosing a deck that I'll be using for the duration of the show. I'm starting with the Legacy of the Divine by Ciro Marchetti. I may change decks a little into the season but I've looked over the deck and I think that I'll be able to pick significators with it fairly easily. For instance, The Dragon Slayer returns to Survivor this season and I've already found a card that reminds me visually of him. Bad Russell does not make it in this season, (after that whole waaa waaa last season I just can't imagine why he wont show) but his 19 year old nephew will be there. I found a card that looks very much like him. I'm going through the list of contestants and cards and trying to match them up as visually as possible. I'm also using Susyn Blair-Hunt's book to try to pick significators according to the professions of the contestants.
Some professions include, a gay morge NYPD (?), a lingerie football player (???) a mortician and an anesthesiologist. There are many interesting jobs on this 23rd season.
Once I get the significators down I plan on doing a reading for each of the 18 contestants. After that, I'm not sure.
If anyone would like to play along, let me know! I'd love to have some company.
Peace
Priscilla
