Hello, and welcome to the Guild Update for the Week of June 8th. I'm getting this out late (I try for Mondays), but so much has been happening at the Guild, it's hard to keep up! First I want to welcome ALL the new members! We have had hundreds join the Guild in the past month or so! If you are new, this weekly Update replaces our newsletter. Our Guild Tarot Portal www.TarotGuild.com, with all it's features, blogs, forums, and content, as well as our Twitter/FB postings basically are an on-going newsletter! Also, with so much happening so quickly and people wanting information faster and faster, a monthly newsletter couldn't keep up. So we decided to launch a Weekly Update.

We've added some amazing new features. The first is a new Events features. This Events feature displays upcoming events right on the front page. It is also accessible by clicking the "Events" Tab at the top of every page or at: http://www.tarotguild.com/events. Details and links can all be found in each posting on the Events section. If you have a major event you would like us to post it in our events section, send us an email. We can't promise ALL events can be posted, but we will try to post as many as we can. The Guild is here to promote our members and their offerings!

The next great feature we added was a new Chat Room! This chat room replaces the old one and is accessible from ANY page on the site. Look for the "Open Chat" button on the right side -------> of any page. You must be signed in for it to launch. This chat room also has Audio and Video capability. In fact, we have replaced the BTR chat room for the Tarot Today radio show with this chat room. One last night's first Broadcast of our weekly Tuesday show, we were also broadcasting video in the chat room! Scott Bush, Director of Operations, wrote a nice blog post about it: NEW CHAT ROOM

You can also add the Guild chat room to your Facebook page! The add button appears at the top of the Main page, in the information block.

We had a great first Tuesday show, featuring a surprise call in from London by Terence Donaldson, co-creator tor of the Dragon Tarot and Lord of The Rings Tarot! You can listen to it in archive by CLICKING HERE or downloading from iTunes.

On the show we announced our NEW Pros Subscription Special. We had 20 members subscribe on the last day of our Launch Special and there was a lot of interest afterwards. On the heals of our successful first online class, Court Cards with Janet Boyer, we are having our second class tomorrow (Thursday, June 10th) evening: Reversed Cards Class. Subscribers to the subscription mentioned above can take unlimited classes in our Pros Classroom. You can also take individual classes for the one low fee of $14.95/class.

Don't miss our show this Sunday with Stephanie Arwen Lynch. Arwen is the President of the ATA, and this is her second appearance on Tarot Today Radio. She will be discussing Scams and Cons in the Tarot Field. Our first guest on our new weekly Tuesday show will be none other than Joseph Ernest Martin, creator of The Quest Tarot! Our Tuesday show is 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern (US).

Guild members Rose Red Robinson and Anastasia Haysler of The Tarot Media Co and TarotPathways.com announced a last minute special for the Voyager Tarot Intensive - ORACLE: Way of The Seeker, with James Wanless, PhD. This event is June 19th and 20th in San Francisco, CA. CLICK HERE for more information.

If you are in the San Diego area, we will be presenting a Tarot Reading Workshop with author and Tarot Master James Ricklef. This workshop will take place on Saturday, June 19th, from 2pm -4pm. CLICK HERE for more information.

Our readers network, TarotPros.com, launched yesterday. This is just the beginning and it is under construction. This is a readers network BY Tarot readers FOR Tarot readers. If you are a Pros Subscriber or a member of the Masters or Journeyman groups, you can be included. Contact me to get you set up. We have sent out a call for submissions for our new publishing arm of the Guild, Tarot Guild Press. We now have FOUR anthology projects in the works. The first two books, The Tarot Guild Anthology, Vol.1 and Tarot Guild Book of Readings, will have their deadlines announced shortly and be released in the fall of 2010. The second two books, a spreads anthology and Tarot Cooks recipe anthology, will be released in spring 2011. Lastly is our Membership Drive and Contest. As I mentioned int he beginning of the Update, we have had hundreds of new members in the last weeks and want to keep the momentum going!
