Loving the Legacy of the Divine on a "Need to Know Basis"

Well, this has been my first week of testing out the Legacy of the Divine to see how we get along.  So far the results have been both illuminating and inspiring.

And I just did a spread for myself this morning that was truly helpful.  I call it the "Need to Know Basis" Spread.  I was thinking about all the knowledge I have now and wondering what's useful to me at this moment; and the things I "used to know" but have moved to the back of my conscious mind and no longer access that often; and what I will need to know in the future.  So it's like a Past-Present-Future Spread using 6 cards - 1st line is Used to Know-Know Now-Need to Know and the 2nd line is a "basis" card for each above position to tell you what the basis of your need of that knowledge is.  I like to draw the present position first, then past position-then future position so the present is between the past and the future.

So it's 2--1--3

          5--4--6

Let me know if you try this spread and what you think.  I will be playing with it some more for sure myself.

Great deck! The book is on my nitestand and I'm going through it bit by bit. I haven't started using the deck yet. I'm using the Tarot of Dreams at the moment. Ciro's decks are amazing!

I have to say though the companion book to the Legacy of the Divine is wonderful.  So thoughtfully put together!

I know what you mean about the images Dax - the meanings are so much more accessible in the Legacy of the Divine - it's pretty awesome!  And the cards seem to be more interactive with each other which is really helpful.  I've been using the Gilded Tarot and I still love the velvety feel of that cards and the artwork.  There just aren't any others cards that feel that good in my hands-it's weird.  The only one that feels close is Lo Scarabeo's Mini Visconti which I love except for the unillustrated pips -but in a way even that's kinda cool because it makes me test my memory in a way and I love the major arcana in that deck.

I always carry a copy of both the Waite/Smith deck and the Legacy deck where ever I go. You never know when you might need to do an impromptu reading!
When I sue other decks, I often find myself "translating" the images into Waite/Smith. The Legacy deck was the first deck I found myself also using elements from the Legacy images as well.

Like Koneta said, "I love, love, love that deck!"  ;o)
