Lunar Elipse Spread
©1983 Noreen Jameson

I thought I would share a Tarot spread I developed back in 1983, which I named the Lunar Elipse Spread. The spread has four phases:
  • New Moon ~ which consists of 9 cards
  • Waxing Moon ~ which consists of 4 cards
  • Waning Moon ~ which consists of 4 cards
  • Full Moon ~ which consists of 8 cards
A full reading actually takes 25 cards. I rarely shuffle my cards in such a way that would allow reversed cards, as I find negative aspects to be discerning. (I AM, after all, all about LIGHT!)
  1. The 9 cards of the New Moon spread reflect insights and release.
  2. The 4 cards of the Waxing Moon spread reflect growth and changes.
  3. The 4 cards of the Waning Moon spread reflect fading attachments.
  4. The 8 cards of the Full moon spread reflect opportunities and experiences.

It's very intense and time-consuming.... the "proper" way to do such a reading is over the course of the moon phases, or one could do it all at once. When time is of a constraint, I use the 9-card New Moon spread portion and give a full month reading off of that by using the "placements" / correspondences from the other 3 spreads...
Thank YOU for commenting!
Love and Light,
