Seth MacFarlane's Big News <Video> ...His Dad Didn't Seem Impressed

After the flap this year of director Brett Ratner being fired as Oscar producer, and taking his host, Eddie Murphy with him - and the snoozefest of the 2012 Oscars with Billy Crystal, things are looking up for the 2013 Oscars because Family Guy and Ted creator Seth MacFarlane is hosting.  

"My two thoughts upon hearing the news were, 1) I will do my utmost to live up to the high standards set forth by my predecessors and 2) I hope they don't find out I hosted the Charlie Sheen Roast," joked MacFarlane when the telecast producers made the announcement.

In the video below, Seth breaks the BIG news to his dad ...Hmmmm. I guess his dad wasn't that impressed....
