Something New

For quite some time, it's been my morning routine to pull a card and think about what it's trying to tell me. It seemed to be getting difficult lately to connect with the cards so I decided to give myself a little refresher and see if by pulling two cards, I can get my inspiration going again.

This morning I pulled the Ten of Pentacles and the Page of Wands from my Universal Waite deck and tried reading them using elemental dignities instead of my usual keyword style. It seems that by reading this way, it will add a little extra depth to my morning readings that I have been lacking. What are some ways you freshen up your skills now and then...? Is there ever a time when you have trouble connecting with your cards?
