Tarot for the 21st Century!
I just had another wonderful time at Christiana's Global Tarot Circle...everyone is awesome, yet I seem to be stuck between a rock and a bigger rock. If I get my own FB account-people who know me (especially parents and in-laws) will "see" me and my love of Tarot and all things esoteric-especially Celtic pagan beliefs.
Now, no one (who makes me nervous), knows about my blog-but I hesitate even sharing that with my growing circle of Tarot friends.
brb~
Holy crap! Drew 3 cards (using the Mary-El) and this is what I got:

Ok-The Devil is telling me it's all in my head-this
fear about "sharing"...then The Tower is saying that it's not just all in my head...the Queen of Swords
says to find the middle way. Fears are unfounded,
The Tower shows my internal struggle that has been going on for far too long. Maybe this fear of not being accepted, or belittled for my beliefs is just that-an illusion which the Tower energy says needs to be shattered in order for me to embrace all the I am-not just my family.
Much to think about. What do you observe?

Comment by Lisa McKay on May 14, 2012 at 7:39am Thanks so much Dax and Katora...I've been doing a lot of contemplation about this issue. Bottom line-I know this fear or fears of being who I am and what I love doing is holding me back from doing it with all my heart. I do need to put on my big girl panties and come out of the Tarot closet-maybe the Tower is my closet.

Comment by Katora on May 14, 2012 at 3:11am The Devil also represents your shame issues and what you will face when your family finds out. The Tower whether real or imagined is how you feel your world will be rocked when it happens and the fall out from it, but it is always a natural outcome. The Queen of Swords is telling you to put your big girl panties and deal with it! No crying over spilled milk! As Nike says, "Just Do It!".

Comment by Dax Carlisle on May 13, 2012 at 11:54pm It seems to me Lisa, that with The Tower card, we are talking about a massive, perhaps unexpected, foundational shift. The Devil could be speaking to your holding on to this old paradigmn. Many seem to be in the same situation. Increasingly, privacy is going out the window. Employers/perspective employers, as well as apt rental companies and even insurance companies are checking out people's Facebook profiles.
There ARE privacy settings and you CAN put family members, friends, close friends, acquaintances, co-works all in separate groups and only allow posts to be seen by the groups you want. You can also make your Facebook profile private, so prying eyes won't see what you are into.
You can be on FB and interact now AS one of your pages ...so you could create a Fan Page for your Tarot and esoteric interests and not show it on your personal profile. Even if you stay off FB and have a private blog/website somewhere, prying eyes could eventually find that too!
To be completely on the DL (down low), you would have to do all your esoteric/Tarot online postings and interactions under a pseudonym. You could then also create another Facebook profile under this alias, with a different email address. Technically, FB says everyone is only allowed ONE profile, but I know dozens of people who have a personal profile and then a separate profile under an assumed identity ...for MANY reasons.
Perhaps it's this "middle path" that the Queen of Swords is referring too. But The Devil next to The Tower seems to be screeming: "Come out of the Tarot Closet"!! ;o)
